Let There Be LIght, Part 2

No, there has not been a return of an old problem. The headlights are working fine. Isabelle's headlights are burning strong...and so are the new LED's on the handguards...and so are the newly wired up running lights where only blank lens used to be.

This is the before photo

And, here is the after photo.

Thanks Mike! Not only is she brighter, I think she looks more intelligent, don't you?

I really like those LEDs on your handguards. It gives you a wider profile which should be safer, it's just that we have rules here about what colours your running lights should be from the Front, and from the sides and I am not sure they would allow White

    1. bob,
Here we have rules, too. The lights have to be white or yellow in front. Red goes in the back. Turn signals must be yellow in front. All the other color lights I see on cars here aren't legal, especially blue. Blue is only for police and emergency vehicles.

Yes, I think the wider profile should be safer...at least it can't hurt.

  2. Very nice Keith. If they can't see you coming now, they shouldn't on the roads.

    Looking good.

    1. Alas, I suspect there are those who still will not see me. If people can run into ambulances with there sirens running and lights going, they can run into anything. Still, we do what we can and hope for the best.

    1. Karen,
Your comment made me smile. Before I posted this entry I put a mobile photo of the work on my Facebook page. I made this comment, "Isabelle has become brighter. People may still overlook her and say they can't see her, but she certainly looks more intelligent, don't you think?" Is this a case of great minds thinking alike? I'd like to think so.

    1. Lori,
I'm certainly trying. I think lights and helmets are most important. I know have the front lights. I have an orange and a white helmet. I still have one black one. It is a snowmobile helmet and many of them are black. With windscreens and topcases and such I'm not sure the jackets make as much difference.
