There seems to be this thing happening here in St. Louis. Perhaps it has been going on for some time and I haven't noticed. It may be common place elsewhere, I don't know. I do know that on Billie's and my travels around the City I've noticed that after a tree has been removed some of the stumps are being sculpted. There is one in particular I like.
I like the practice. And, I particularly like this turtle. It reminds me of a real life turtle Heather and I encountered on one of our land paddles over in Illinois.
I haven't seen that practice around here...and we have lots of trees... :) But it does look pretty cool. What are some of the other carvings? -Lori
ReplyDeleteThis is a very busy weekend, but I'll see if I can get a shot of any more. That's the problem with wandering around, I don't always remember where I see things. This turtle is on a street I'm on frequently so I see him all the time. Stay tuned.

Lori: I've seen bears and one that looked like a Native American. I keep expecting to see one of the wee people: a gnome or a bilikin, but haven't yet.
