Heaven Knows

I guess as an Episcopal priest I tend to think liturgically about things that are part of my spiritual life. And, heaven knows riding certainly has become a major part of my spiritual life.

I introduce you to our new mobile sacristy.

Empty.
Filled with vestments.

I posted this over at Did He Ride Today?, but decided I'd share it here as well.

I thought this sand Sculpture was pretty cool.

May this Season be a blessing to you and those you love. Peace.

Great pictures and I think I need to get one of those for my bike paraphenalia, it seems to spill out everywhere.

  5. Nice rack for your riding gear. Good idea to have it all stored together for easy locating of what you need.

That sand sculpture is really neat. I can only imagine how long it took to complete.

    Happy riding in 2012.

  6. Sonja: The sculpture is certainly a unique decoration. It is very well done.

Thanks for comment about "my staging area". We had been trying to come up with something to contain our gear. When we were visiting Everyday Riding Chris, he had something quite similar to this. We went looking and we found this.

Also, thanks for the good wishes for the Season. You be safe as well.

  7. Roger: Merry Christmas to you! Tonight was the first time since I've had it that I came in after a ride in the rain. It was great to be able to just hang my stuff up to dry without taking up the shower and edges of doors :)

  8. Dar: My daughter told me of a friend of hers who gathered all her gear in a single 8x10ft room and it covered the floor and was three feet deep. She's been riding for a while, but it is amazing how much stuff one accumulates, isn't it?

I hope you, too have a joyous and peace-filled Christmas and a wonderful 2012.

  9. Chris: I thought you might recognize it. It is great, but I'm worried about one thing. It's chrome. You don't think this could be a slippery slope into another moto-world do you? I guess I'm safe as long as I'm not constantly polishing it.

  10. Trobaritz: I think that is the first time a woman has ever told me I had a nice rack. Thank you.

Seriously, it is nice to have my gear consolidated. We have a small condo and we have to be smart with our space.

The sand sculpture is really neat and think when the holidays are over they will just take it down. Oh well.

I wish you a safe 2012 filled with delightful surprises and many carefree miles on Max.

  11. Trobairitz: Actually, on further reflection I believe you are the very first person male or female to tell me I have a nice rack. Thanks again :)

  12. We'll start to worry when you spend more time polishing your rack (doesn't sound right...) than out riding Billie. ;)

  13. Gotta admit that the vestments are nice. Mine are currently collecting on the floor in the spare room. But I have hung up most of the summer gear. ;)

Do you have a little fan or floor heaterntonhelp in the drying times?

  14. Lori: It never rains in Missouri and it is never humid :)

Actually, there is a ceiling fan in the room, but the stuff drys better quick when out of the rain . . . and not wadded up in the corner somewhere.

Good to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by.

  15. Keith:

I wanted to jump on the bandwagon too, "Nice Rack you have there !"

I don't have room for a "RACK", I have my stuff scattered everywhere, and I still have new un-opened stuff to look forward to wearing next season.

take care and have a Merry Christmas

  16. bob: Thanks for joining the bandwagon. I appreciate your support.

My stuff was everywhere before and it was causing some mild domestic strife. This is better.
