Yellow signs of Spring

These Daffodils are nearly ready to bloom. This means it might be Spring.
And, the yellow BMW is back on the street. Haven't seen it since last December. This means it must really be Spring.

  2. Daffodils are a good sign! Hope the white stuff is gone for good (not that it hindered you from riding, but it is sure much safer to ride without it). Shame on the beemer rider, hiding the bike in the garage all winter ;-)

  4. Lori,
When I first saw this BMW it was primed gray. I wondered if that was the way it was going to stay. Then last June or July it disappeared for a couple of weeks. When it returned it was a yellow.

I will admit it was good to see it again. Actually, I had suspected the rider had moved.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  5. Sonja,
Thanks for stopping by. It would be nice if the snow is done for the season. There is a good chance, but it is only a chance.

Last Spring, all summer, the autumn and into the winter the BMW was on the street under a cover. Who knows, maybe the rider went to Florida for the winter and is just now back. Until I meet him/her I think that is my story and I'm sticking to it.

  7. Hooray for signs of spring.

We have daffodils in full bloom here in Oregon and the forsythia are starting to spring forth yellow buds as well. I noticed this morning the maple trees are budding out. It won't be long until allergy season.

Spring = longer days = more sunshine = more riding!!

  10. bob,
This weekend brings Daylight Savings Time for us as well.

Just today UPS delivered a package with new wheels, bearings and a brake pad for my inline skates. DST means the beginning of serious skating time for me. I looking very forward to being able to be on the trails after work.

Thanks for stopping by. It is always a delight to see a comment from you.

  11. I'm loving all the daffodils being posted all over the blogosphere. I think tomorrow I need to go out and seek some daffodil pics of my own.

  12. I'm quite jealous Keith! We still have a lot of snow on the ground. Today was the first day I've seen a scrap of grass in the center of my yard in months.

  13. Dear Keith:

I'm delighted to learn that your gauge of Spring is when the BMW's return to St. Louis.

I have been out of circulation for a while, with this damned bronchitis, which continues to linger. Yet the samr signs of spring that you have in St. Louis are popping out all over here. The daytime temperatures for this part of the country are expected to climb into the mid-sixties throught the up-coming week, and I hope to be riding by Friday.

    Fondest regards,

  15. Chris,
Today we had snow. Oh well, soon gone . . . I hope. I do so remember Northern Winters, and sometimes even fondly.
