Isabelle is her bright self again.

Once again the problem was the relay. It had worked itself loose. It is now secured by the almighty zip ties. | |
Tonight, when I went to feed Leo, our cat, I discovered we were out of his canned food. It seemed a perfect opportunity to stretch Isabelle's legs.
|
I continue to be astounded at how handy this little hook is. Five cans of cat food? No problem. |
Isabelle has taken me into at least one new territory. I've seen folks with lots of bug hits on their face shields. I seldom hit bugs with Billie, but with the increase in speed I'm finding many more bugs are finding me.

Splat! |
And, while Heather thinks it looks like a toilet bowl cover, I love my new
Buttease Pad sheepskin seat cover.
|
I guess this qualifies as a farkle, yes? If so, then Isabelle's first. |
If it were some pastel color then I would agree with Heather.
ReplyDeleteNice that you have your lights back. What's the next farkle?
Richard,
DeleteLOL, or if the seat opened the other way, that might add to her case.
I'm not sure. I know I need to do something about the mirrors. Of course heated grips are on the list as it hand guards. Stay tuned.

Glad it was just the relay that was the issue.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the cushion qualifiying as a farkle even if it isn't sparkly...... it is functional, and it is an addition to the bike........
Brandy,
DeleteI think bob has it right for a number of reasons. I suspect the seat cover is an accessory. You are right it is certainly functional. I love it.

Keith:
ReplyDeleteI was hoping that fixing the lights would be a simple fix. Having a cushion is great for hot weather, less sweating "down there". I am using a GEL pad and it worked great, not really a Farkle, consider it an accessory

bob,
DeleteBefore we got inside and actually looked, we were sure it was the voltage regulator. Believe me we were not disappointed to find it was something so simple.
I like the idea of the seat cover being an accessory. I may even write a post about how evocative the word "accessory" was when I read it in your comment. Thank you.
I have a GEL pad on Billie and it has been great.

Let there be light...and it was good!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things are all right again.
Isabelle is looking good. :)
I love how handy the scooters are for little errands around town.
Kari,
DeleteScooters are so very handy. My car is getting even less miles with Isabelle around.

Such a cool ride, such a comfy seat!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're loving your Isabelle!
Deb,
DeleteNow that Isabelle has had her first service the only thing standing between me and a long ride is time. Who knows, maybe I'll go to California...or, maybe Mexico...or, maybe both.
~k
Zip ties, bugs in her eyes, and mule. Sounding all very good and useful. :)
ReplyDeleteIs that hook a standard option on scooters? And no matter what the pad is, does your butt approve? That is all that is important.
Some have the hook and some don't. This is the first on I've had with the hook and I love it.
Delete~k
Lori,
ReplyDeleteMy butt likes it fine...it just wishes it could get more time to test it. Been a busy time, but you know how that goes. My time will come.
~k
Boy oh boy do I know how that goes. Soon. You will be able to soon. :)
DeleteGood to see the light is on! My "hook" is my favorite B&W accessory!
ReplyDeleteI am totally amazed at how convenient that little sucker is.
Delete~k
Keith, when I spent the better part of a day in the saddle on a Kymco Frost, I developed a tender spot... in my butt.
ReplyDeleteYou should cruise the forums and blogs for custom seat information.
MP3's have a similar saddle and there are no end of complaints. Some have either found better alternatives from after market firms, or had custom upholstery work done.
But if the toilet seat cover works, I say stick with it :)
Regards,
David
Dear Keith:
ReplyDeleteAll farkle starts out with modest beginnings. First it is the seat cover. Then it will be an electric seat cover. Then it will be the horn and LED stoplight package. Then you'll discover cheaper fuses at the Harley shop. (You have to imagine this as it is not likely.) Then you'll get a Sportster. This is a common story.
Fondest regards,

Twisted Roads
My scooter farkling started with a Zebra seat cover, then it was a top casement then it was a windshield and then I bought a bike.
ReplyDeleteI loved the hook on my scooter, it added so much versatility, nothing beats a scooter for storage. Between the hook, topcase and under seat storage I could get a weeks worth of groceries home.
I say the cover is a farkle....
