We seem to have a pattern going here.
The weather is beautiful for the workweek and then comes the weekend.
And then comes the rain.
And the chilly temperatures.
But, it is Spring. It is blossoms on the car windows not snowflakes.
And the iris are blooming.
Yes, the streets are all wet and there is unseasonable chill in the air, but the spirit is fine, very fine.
Keith, here we seem to have gone straight form winter to summer. Clear blues skies and very warm weather. I hate to say it but we need rain. I should bite my tongue
ReplyDeleteLast year we were in drought mode. This year has been just the opposite. The ground is so saturated that some large trees are just tipping over. Oh well, the weather will be what it will be.
DeleteEnjoy the warm dry weather while you can.

What's that white object on the roof in photo 2?
ReplyDeleteIt's a vertical windmill. The building is one of the trade unions headquarters. I don't know what they power with it. I hope it isn't just for looks.

I am glad the mood is still elevated even if the temperatures are not. It beats snow, if nothing else.
ReplyDeleteBrandy,
DeleteI think I pretty resilient when it comes to the weather. The drought conditions of last year was hard because of what I saw it doing to the plants. But, I now have an idea of what it's like to ride in Arizona :^)

For a moment you had me fooled. Not snowflakes but flower flakes...
ReplyDeleteI turned around and went back for that photo. Yes, flower flakes. I like that.

It's the spirit that counts!
ReplyDeleteKaren,
DeleteYes, indeed!
Keith:
ReplyDeleteI didn't use to like the rain. I don't purposely go out to find it but if I am riding and it rains, then so be it. If it is rain before I leave then maybe I won't ride. It's all about risk and how you feel. If you don't feel up to it then it may be a premonition to just take the car. You have to listen to your inner "devil"
When you are sweating in the heat of Summer, sometimes you wouldn't mind a bit of rain. This was how it was like last Summer in 100°F Hell's Canyon and the drops felt sooo good
Good to see your snow has gone
