I knew I needed to replace my computer. It was eight years old was developing some problems. I just didn't know I was going to need to replace it so soon.
I spent the weekend setting up the new computer set up and getting some experience with the new operating system. I did manage to download some photos over the weekend, but promptly forgot how I did it.
I'm developing a little comfort with the new beast, but it comes a day late for my publishing in a timely manner the photos I took during my annual ride over to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. I am a day late . . .
. . . but, not short on gratitude.
I loathe learning how to handle new machinery.
ReplyDeleteMe, too. Me, too. It is getting better and I think the photo downloading actually might be easier. Time will tell.
DeletePretty photos of such a somber subject.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are getting used to the new computer.
Somber, indeed. I believe I've commented before about how deep the silence is in this place.

ReplyDeleteI must say that you are a fast learner. It took me a while to learn Win7, and Win8 is much more complex that's why I haven't upgraded so I have to say you are braver than me
We don't have any Military Cemeteries here in the West.

I didn't wish to upgrade, but it was one of those "had to" moments. I'll be using Win7 at work beginning soon. I'm discovering for what few things I do there isn't a huge difference, but it sure looks different. That's been the key so far--getting beyond the appearance stuff. It looks very different.
DeleteWe have Military Cemeteries in every State as well as Puerto Rico.
And I thought I was the person that kept the hardware longer than usual. In my profession, they recommend swapping things out every 3 years, I usually do 5 years. I'm now pretty comfortable with Windows 7, holding off a bit for Windows 8
