Coop, exactly! There are a number of wonderful places to sit, watch and wait along the Meramec for every season to manifest it's treasures. This one was at Castlewood State Park, a favorite day hiking place of Heather and mine.
Keith - there is something wonderful about living near a river(s). I also love the photo of the Meramec, but I love the flamingos as well - who would expected! I think I may have to put that Meramec River on my bucket list (I'm always looking for places to see!)
Keith, the view on to the Meramec river is simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI took that photo with my phone. I walked out of the house without my camera. Sometimes my forgetfulness works in my favor. Glad you like the photo.
DeleteAgree with SonjaM, that is a stunning photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard.
DeleteThat river shot does look like an easy place to sit, watch and wait for the colors to gently change.

It was in the 60'sF when we were at the zoo. I was surprised to see them out. Needless to say, I was delighted.
DeleteI'm not originally from Missouri and am continually delighted at the wonders of this place.
I always love pictures of nature's splendor. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the flamingos too. They are vibrant.
