Saturday Heather and I hiked at
Rockwood Reservation.
|
White amid the tangle. |
|
Room with a view. I suspect unoccupied. |
|
Unlike in the City, there were very few trees in bloom or budding. |
|
Still. The big rocks witness another coming Spring. |
It was a comfortable 82F/28C as we hiked our 5.5mi/8.8km. Tomorrow night the forecast is for a low of 30F/-1C, yet none of us are fooled. Winter is over.
82? You had all this snow. How can you now already be getting 80s? So different from here. We'll take the next 3 months slowly edging our way up to the 80s. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely hike. I love the gentle sprinkling of spring flowers.
Bluekat,
DeleteThanks. The first photo kind of reminded me of a visual haiku. White amid the tangle of gray.
Pretty photos. Very gentle- just as Spring should be.
ReplyDeleteIt was a gentle day. We hiked Castlewood today, but mostly I took photos of caterpillar type tree parasite. Don't know if I'll post more or not. The good news is I think I know what I want to do with this blog. It won't be much of a change, just a tweak, but it renews it for me. Now if I just had more time in the day :^)
DeleteA beautiful place for a hike with perfect temperatures. Nice to snow spring has arrived and isn't coming back for 8 or 9 months.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are correct about the snow being gone and not coming back right away.
