Vigilance

Vigilance: The action or state of keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties.

I saw this red-shouldered hawk while Heather and I were hiking in Rockwood Reservation, but I'm sure it saw me first. Today while riding I took Hawk with me. I was vigilant, watchful, and ready to swoop or flee. I returned home safe.

May the Hawk be with you.

  1. A very goo analogy, Keith. May the hawk be with you at all times, too.

  2. A good sentiment. It is amazing how alert and aware they are at all times. They see all, they hear all and react to it.

  3. My mom used to tell me when I was a kid, "I'm watching you like a hawk!"

    Now I get it!

They are so striking sitting along the road on fence posts. Big birds, BIG!
